I think it would devalue it to say that it was cynical but I know what I’m doing with the Streets – I’ve been doing it for too long. I don’t want to do the Streets anymore. I should have moved on a long time ago.
The post on Vulture about a comeback from the Streets (can the Streets already be considered a comeback act?) is notable only for this line at the end:
Skinner has said repeatedly [Computer and Blues] will be the last album he releases under the Streets moniker (that’s good, because it will allow one of the thousands of rappers surely pissed off about a white guy from England beating them to the rap name “The Streets” to pick it up).
