Trolls, free speech and the internet

Two things about trolling and internet free speech:

1. Gawker unmasks the biggest troll on Reddit

2. The Vancouver Sun interviews an anonymous Facebook user who posts Amanda Todd jokes

Here’s the thing: stuff like this should absolutely be protected as free speech, but that doesn’t mean these aren’t objectively bad people. (Note: “Objectively bad people” is my new favourite term.)

UPDATE: I should note that while I think a lot of this stuff is protected by free speech, I’m less convinced that the creepshots stuff qualifies.
