Zune was pretty much dead on arrival. Such is the case when the most lauded feature of your product is that it’s available in brown. I’ve generally avoided the Zune – I’m happy with my iPod – only following the debate surrounding its implications involving Creative Commons licensing. Anyway, I found this spoof ad (via Wired), and I have to confess it’s funny. In fact, a lot of the Zune advertising has been pretty cool. Does that prove that no amount of creativity or good advertising can save a shitty product?
